Cross Rhythms has long praised the concept of this series and getting a whole batch of "unknown" worship songwriters and giving them a chance to record one of their songs in a pro studio and with a good producer and excellent session musicians continues to work very well. Not every song of course is up to the same standard but there are some gems here, like Andrew Cleaton's well written hymn "From The Heights Of Heaven's Throne" and the musical casting of some Scripture "Every Blessing" by Ed Billingham. Singer/songwriters such as Matt McChlery, Tim Garland, Caroline J Gardiner and Chris Wilkins may not get onto the big Bible week platforms but each of them shows the ability to bring something fresh and engaging to today's worship music.
