This is the latest in the Re-leased series of CDs. (Note to sleeve designers: If you start off a series with some weird punctuation like Re-leased, you need to keep it going when you get to volume six.) If you read Cross Rhythms' article about volume four of Re-leased you will know that this series is dB Studios' heartening effort to help unpublished Christian worship songwriters the chance to record with professional musicians and singers in a fully equipped studio. This CD offers 13 tracks with a total music time of 57 minutes and plenty of the songs here, particularly David Buckley's "The Call", Chris Gowor's "Journey", Debby Starling's "Amazing God" and Hannah Williams' "I Am Waiting", are well above average. Production, by Dan Bowater and Howard Williams, is pretty good too while the session singers, Joanna Holland, Andy Bromley and John Wright, do a good job too. This may well be the strongest overall of the series, with the song quality only beginning to waver a little towards the end of the song list. The grassroots songs featured feel fresh and are produced to differ in a positive way from the corporate worship fare often encountered nowadays. You probably won't know any of the songs when you first listen, but they compare favourably with the material on much higher profile releases. Come on, investigate the grassroots.

I agree that this is the strongest album of the series so
far and I also like the first track by Graham O'Leary,
'Jesus is alive' We have used this in our church and it
really inspired us to live the life 24/7 and we used it for
a good few weeks.(and still do ocassionaly) Great album all
round
