The worship series emanating from Lincoln's dB studios has long carried out an extremely useful service in bringing to light some excellent worship songs from British churches' grassroots composers. Giving songwriters the opportunity to have their songs arranged, produced and released by top musicians has borne much fruit and this latest set is no exception. The opener, "Take My Hand" by Jo Le Page, is a strong song brought to life with a catchy arrangement featuring an intro riff and chorus reminiscent of Coldplay. Other standouts are "Speak Oh Speak" by Joel Morris which has a nice acoustic Celtic feel and this contrasts with the strident rock of "Devoted" written and performed by the dB Studios' omnipresent Howard Williams. There are other good songs on here that would work well in a congregational setting, and it would have been good to see chord charts/sheet music available with these tracks. Sometimes the flow of songs feels a tad disjointed, but then this may be expected when dealing with so many different writers. Like Soul Survivor's People albums, the Released series continues to be an excellent resource.
