'Resurrected' is a compilation of "12 songs of celebration and reflection for Easter, focusing on Jesus' sacrificial love through to the triumph of his resurrection," with the intention of "inspiring worshippers everywhere to proclaim that Jesus is Alive!" It's always a challenge as a worship leader to find new music to sing each year at Christmas and Easter, so this type of resource is potentially very useful, and including PDFs of all the songs on the CD is helpful in this respect. The songs are by no means all new, written by various writers between 1992 and 2009, but some are certainly not widely known. Highlights are Becky Frith's beautiful "Redemption's Song" and "Pierced," written by Phil Hart and Joanne Hogg. As often seems to be the case with compilations, there is no indication as to who is singing or playing, which is usually a shame, although in this case it could be considered a wise move as the quality of the vocalists is pretty variable and the majority of arrangements are firmly set in the early-mid '90s church style. Overall, a pretty weak set.
