Some brilliant cuts on this compilation of newly recorded tracks from the Philadelphia home of Cross Movement. Try the blistering exposition of the spiritual life on "Got It Goin' On" by newcomer Shai Linne against an utterly captivating riff. This cut alone is worth the price of the CD but there's plenty else here to grab your ear. The Cross Movement explore the frailty of life on the September 11 opus "Last Writes", Cross Movement's The Ambassador is on fine form on "Better Days" with a superb vocal contribution from Michello Bonella while there's some surprising diversions into R&B by the talented Michelle and another diva to watch, Monique Walker. One of the best various artists projects you'll hear this or any year. Thoroughly recommended.
