M8 do a sterling work re-releasing long lost Christian rock albums and releasing new work from artists working outside of the mainstream CCM scene. Thus it s become the home of excellent music, some of which I've already been ordering via the internet. This compilation pulls together a pile of metal and rock tracks for your listening pleasure in the obvious effort to encourage you to go for the full album. The result is an excellent compilation album, featuring on the metal side: Titanic, Bride, Leviticus, Guardian, Bloodgood, etc, all in fine metal fettle! Highlights include Titanic's "You've Got Nothing On Me" and Guardian's "Loud 'n' Clear" from their version of Stryper's 'Yellow & Black Attack' album. On the rock side: 77s, Walter Eugenes, Altar Boys, LSU, etc are all gathered together. Highlights include maverick genius Terry Taylor's "Let's Spin", the 77s' live version of "Perfect Blues" and the Altar Boys' "Well OK". Plenty of gems here and the website is worth checking out if you're a metal head into alternative music or want to pick up some reissues to recapture your youth.
