Well, who can believe that we’ve had nearly 20 years of music ministries linked to West Midlands evangelistic organisation The Saltmine Trust? Saltmine bands and hits? This album reflects some of the musical offerings from the various acts over the years and is a testament to the diversity of the musical styles that Saltmine has promoted. The first few tracks brought a smile to my face is as I remembered the tragedy of the ‘80s style’ keyboard sounds that we used to think were so cool! Nevertheless, the songs reflect an era where Christian music in this country was beginning to come to the forefront. And who can forget ‘Mark and Steve’? Their classic hit ‘Rock Bottom’ takes pride of place on the album. Finally, the album brings us right up to date with bands like Beehive, Audacity and Exalt; there are also offerings from Dave Pope and Jon Paynter. As with all greatest hits albums, there are some previously unreleased tracks to entice you to buy it! An album you can reminisce and giggle to!
