This is a quality collection of 12" mixes from the New York dance label Jellybean, mostly with a gospel garage groove. This CD was released a year ago, but it contains some sought after classics, like the uplifting tune "In The Morning" by garage icon Cece Rogers, and an inspirational mix of "Lift Up Your Hands" by Xodus (featuring Dawn Tallman). Other tracks worthy of mention are: "Fly Away" by Eddie Stockley, with smoking gospel organ and piano riffs; "Reachin" by Instinct, featuring the distinctive falsetto of Kenny Bobien; and the catchy euro-house "Reach (Take It To The Top)" by Alliance, featuring the powerful voice of Lilias White. Not all of the tunes on this album are gospel or inspirational in lyrical content, but those that are remain unbeatable for smooth grooves and soulful vocals.
