As far as I know this is the first UK release of what appears to be an ongoing American format of 30 of the previous year's most popular Southern gospel tracks on a double CD set. No doubt this is due to the growing popularity of the Gaither music which has now made enormous strides into the UK market. Very few of these tracks have been released here in Britain apart from a couple featuring the Gaither Vocal Band and the Old Friends Quartet. However, several of the artists like Karen Peck and New River, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Isaacs and the Martins have guested on various Gaither Homecoming albums and videos. My personal favourites of the album are the very catchy and country "When You Change Your Mind" by the Bishops and the hauntingly beautiful "Isn't The Love Of Jesus Something Wonderful" by the Hayes Family. This is an excellent sampler album which includes details of the original albums from which these selections have been made.
