This is a 14-track, 70-minute collection of intimate worshipful songs written and performed by ladies based at the International House Of Prayer at Kansas City in the United States (with the somewhat odd exception of the first track, which is a re-working of the well known "Be Thou My Vision" - no explanation is offered for this inclusion, although a number of the other tracks here do, perhaps coincidentally, have a Celtic feel to them). The majority of songs are piano or gentle-guitar lead, although several reach full worship band intensity. The predominant themes are thankfulness for grace and mercy and the need to be near God in times of trial. There is not a significantly weak track on this album and highlights would be Misty Edwards' piano-voice duet "I Am Yours" (with a stronger hook lyrically this could become a classic) and Paula Bowers' title track which is a hypnotic cocktail of busy rhythms, haunting sounds and a wonderfully straightforward lyric. IHOP have put together a collection of high quality worship songs.
