This bumper three disc compilation from Kingsway is as varied as it is vast. Containing 39 tracks in the Celtic style that set out to reflect the deep peace of knowing Christ in us, there is something for everyone here with contemporary and traditional examples of the genre sitting comfortably next to each other. Whilst a good part of this collection contains Celtic reworkings of established worship songs - a stunning instrumental recital of Stuart Townend's "Across The Lands" and a brave version of "In Christ Alone" being prime examples - this is not just another Christian attempt at mood music. On the contrary, the compilers have carefully selected material that enhances the worship experience whilst pushing the boundaries of Celtic music - most notably in the delightful traditional rendition of Dave Bilbrough's "Sound The Trumpet" and a majestic version of the Townend and Keith Getty collaboration "Joy Has Dawned Upon The World". Add into the mix the appearance of Celtic heavyweights such as Joanne Hogg, Moya Brennan and Sammy Horner with tracks taken from their respective recent albums, this accomplished release is a joy to behold.
