The title makes this sound like a soundtrack from some big hit movie..and in some ways it could be! The book referred to is a blockbuster of its very own, the bible. The album features 62 minutes of outstanding music and spiritual message and includes the likes of Amy Grant, Sixpence None The Richer. The album opens with Michael Card's (title) track 'The Book,' an up tempo track that talks about the power and authority of the bible. It then moves on tower version of that popular classic 'El Shaddi' performed by the winans. The album has 14 songs of real quality through to the rousing finale by the Ragamuffins, 'My Deliverer' and everyone has a powerful message putting across the value of 'The Book'. This review is simply not long enough to include everything that I would like to say about this album as the spiritual influence, the encouragement, the direction, our personal relationships, the majesty, the fundamental beliefs and the awesomeness of God are clearly displayed in every track and they all feature different aspects which go to make up the most powerful book that has and will ever be written.
