Having already a vast and ever expanding rosta of bands, Tooth & Nail once again present another fine music sampler of the more hard alternative kind. 17 tracks of varying intensity at value for money, '...Penalty Box 3' contains high caliber pop punk (Ghoti Hook, The Huntingtons), hardcore fused 'modern' punk (Ninety Pound Wuss} and post punk hardcore rock (Blindside) to name but a few. Standout cuts include "Imitation" by superb newcomers Shorthanded and a demo version of the stunning "Apocalypse Now" by glam punksters Squad Five-0. Also included on this disc, a bizarrely compelling slice of progressive alter­native hardcore from Frodus' latest release, as well as a live version of "Easier Said Than Done" by MxPx from their recently released live outing, 'At The Show'. Though distinctively more punk orientated, '...Penalty Box 3' offers yet another indispensable insight into what is arguably the US' leading alternative music label. Highly recommended.
