A collection of recent work from successful Elevation songwriters including Paul Field, Stuart Barbour, Sue Rinaldi, Becky Frith, John Mongan and Leigh Barnard. This is an ideal gift for that special occasion or perhaps as an act of friendship. The more recently recorded materiel makes an ideal companion for those quiet times of reflection, in the subdued moments following disappointment, or for when the journey brings more questions than answers. Composed of songs of aspiration and inspiration, the album is full of fresh hope and expectation and, each track takes a different perspective of the light that lifts each of us up and leads us forward. The opening track - a Matt Redman and Jonas Myren collaboration - "Great Is Your Faithfulness" is powerfully anthemic with "wall of sound" crescendos. To offset this, Becky Frith's "Lifter Of My Head" from her 'Home' album demonstrates her subtle piano playing and presents a more peaceful listen. For the lost, the deprived and those without hope, Andy Smith's "Arise Shine" is a comfort and encouragement.
