Nice idea - a resource to introduce songs from the hugely popular Songs Of Fellowship songbook to the wider Church, artist credits aren’t given so no one has to contend with overblown egos, just learn new songs and help people worship God. So what went wrong? A few things slipped past quality control! “Colours Of Day (Light Up The Fire)” from 1974 - surely not! Lyrics (and I’m not making this up), “I was lost as a goose/The Devil had a rope out and it looked like a noose.’ Endless muddy live mixes of audibly challenging listening. A stirring version of that hardly known hymn ‘How Great Thou Art’! And finally, after surviving 20 songs you realise why you never sing half of them in the first place!
