It’s not everyday that you find a CD for a mere two quid. You’d be forgiven for questioning the quality on such an album; however, this is one worth picking up. Here we have a compilation of brutal and furious recordings from new and upcoming hardcore and metal bands on Blood And Ink Records, and the more familiar Facedown Records. Obviously not every track is going to appeal to everyone, but there is enough quality on show with standouts from artists such as Sinai Beach and Rapture Of The Meek to name but a couple. My only real complaint is that proceedings become a little predictable after the first few songs and I am also into extreme metal so I generally like my music a little more brutal than what’s on offer here. That’s not to say that there’s anything wrong with this album though. There is plenty to keep the listener happy and if you are a fan of hardcore or heavy music in general then you should pick this up immediately. Let’s face it; at the price you can hardly go wrong.
