With tracks from both established and emerging worship leaders, Survivor brings you another compilation of previously released tracks for use in church or home alike. Artists include Matt Redman, Martyn Layzell, Paul Oakley, onehundredhours and Tim Hughes, so you're onto a winner. 17 of the songs can be found in the Survivor Songbook 3. All the tracks are worthy of a place on the album but a few gems stand out, including the two anthemic songs from Johnny Parks, "Glory" and "Arise" and Matt Redman's "Anthem Of The Free". I wonder though, whether all these artists come from churches fortunate enough to have bands with guitarists and drummers, as most of the songs are performed this way, thus it is refreshing when some have a keyboard input, like "How Great Is Our God" ; sung by Matt Redman it starts off softly and progresses to full-on worship. "Blameless" is also accompanied by the piano and definitely one to try in church. Sung by Nick Herbert it is beautifully uplifting. "To Love The Lost" by Rex Allchurch also deserves a mention, as does "Extravagant Worship" by Vicky Beeching and not just because it's the only solo female track on the album!
