A 2002 compilation of 15 tracks, nearly 55 minutes playing time, and probably because this sort of music is a closed book to me, I didn't recognise any of the names of any of the artists apart from Freddie McGregor who is a bit of a name in mainstream reggae circles. No matter, I've learned how to appreciate all sorts of music, so this was a pleasant listen, although a few more radical toastin' grooves wouldn't have come amiss, there were some vocal wobbles here and there, and the quality of production sound was more than a little variable from track to track. And for those reggae gospel connoisseurs the acts featured here include Morgan heritage, Fiona, Sanchez, Dean Fraser, Mike Spice, Lloyd Brown and Mona Lisa.
