In the light of Romania's history over the last century this CD is a real encouragement to listen to - evidence that once again mankind's efforts to eliminate God from a nation have spectacularly failed! This CD consists of songs by five Romanian bands and worship leaders and has been recorded free of charge as these grassroots musicians have no finances to record their own music. I have to admit to being totally ignorant of the Romanian language, although I did manage to pick out the words "Jesus" and "alleluia" so that does give a clue to the subject matter! These bands regularly play and lead worship at Christian events across Romania and you can tell this from the cohesive sound of each band, with very few rough edges. The songs are musical, well written and performed and convey a sense of passion, energy and intensity. The bands each have their own distinct styles - for example the songs of Andra si Fusion Music have an acoustic, folk style that reminds me a little of Capercaillie with particularly lovely acoustic guitar playing, whereas Vitamina C have much more of a Matt Redman-like stadium rock energy to their sound. Highlights for me are "Tot Ce Iti Ofer" by KL and "Cine A Pus Lumina" by Andra si Fusion Music.
