A cheap 'n' cheerful compilation in the hopefully titled Platinum Series, this presents the purchaser with five Robin Mark tracks, three Kathryn Scott recordings and one each by Steve Merkel and Shiela Walsh all taken from previously released albums. If you're looking for plaintive traditional airs played on uillean pipes or joyful reels pounded out on bodhrans, you'd better look elsewhere. There are some delightful moments when Irish folk roots show through, like on Robin Mark's "You're The Lion Of Judah" (from his 'Revival In Belfast' album), but mostly these are newly minted praise songs performed in middle of the road style with Irish or Scottish sounding bits a mere musical colouring. Some heartfelt worship but the titling/packaging comes across as another example of industry suits milking the still commercially attractive "c" word.
