The Crossfire Festival at Liverpool's Aintree Racecourse this June rather suffered from poor weather and 'mainstage' was consequently a smallish tent. But as this live recording momento shows the British rock gospel artists struggled valiantly to overcome the difficult conditions. Both pop gospellers Chris & Garry and MOR balladeer Ray Bevan are obviously using backing tapes (a bit of a cheat on a live album) while Julie Hamilton who won the Amateur Band Contest showed herself to be a name to watch in the future. Possibly the best track however comes from Cardiff's One To One (now a trio and helped a lot by a guitar). A nice momento for those who went to one of Britain's friendliest fests.
