Urban D (Pastor Tommy) heads up the well established and dynamic Crossover hip-hop church in Tampa. This compilation is a testimony (containing several personal testimonies) to the impact that this groundbreaking group of believers is having on the local and to a growing extent the wider sanctified hip-hop scene. Featured heads include KJ-52, Rize, Spec and if I'm not mistaken, Sup The Chem. “Hip Hop Service” is a superb old school beatbox number, tracking the first visit that Rize made to a crossover service, slick and rewindable. “God Man” feat Reflex who drops it large on a Bhangra vibe that sits well with heavy bass beats, classic remix material. Nice brings us the “respect your lady” track “Who Do You Think You Are?” with its bright and groovesome lilt. An amazing album where the Urban D East Coast/Med influence features alongside a rich variety of other styles, this is an album that in the right ears is a divine appointment waiting to happen.
