For those that don’t know, The Crossover is a hip-hop church/venue and outreach ministry based in Tampa, fronted by Pastor Tommy (Urban D).Vol 2 is a similar format to Vol 1, with different heads (Urban D, Reflex, Legacy, Rize, etc) deliverin’ a mix of sounds and testimonies with a mainly east coast edge. Sad to say this latest offering falls short of Vol 1, being generally drab and sometimes cheesy. Musically, this album never really takes off and although it’s a compilation, it’s a bit too diverse and doesn’t really gel. A great ministry doing a cracking job, but this CD could have done a lot more to reflect the fact.
