Pastor Tommy Kyllonen, aka Urban D, continues to lead his pioneering "rap church" in Tampa, Florida onwards and upwards as the many testimonies of lives changed by a relevant God profess. The ministries mission statement says it well: "To relevantly introduce the truth of Christ to the hip-hop culture as we develop worship, purpose, unity and leadership in their lives." "What about the sounds?" I hear you say. Well sadly, not that ear catching, which is a shame as this is a pioneer movement. Many of the tracks here by such acts as Beyond Skillz, Sabe, Los-! And Urban D himselflack a strong musical theme/vibe and could do with more creative production to rise above the mediocrity that rap can so easily slip into. However CCC is not about making number one hits but aims to guide youth to the point where they make Christ number one for themselves.
