Recording a variety of styles from pop and doowop through to a smattering of gospel, this compilation of old Ebb Records masters is predominantly mainstream R&B. That a review appears in these pages simply reflects the fact that in Ebb's short career, they did release two sides from The Zion Travellers in 1957 which are included here. Nothing unusual in this since the group recorded for a variety of labels from their formation in the '40s. "Believe In Me" and "Beautiful City" are both slow, soulful gospel tunes from the sextet. The latter was recorded again by the group in the '60s under the title "I Dreamed Of A City". However, Ebb really were a minor league label, so while these gospel and R&B sides are okay for the period, there isn't much that is really exceptional. For collectors and passionate R&B nuts only!
