The idea that the message of the Gospel has been accepted by people all around the world is one that makes my heart explode with joy, especially when I hear it coming back in a different culture's music. This, Lion Of Zion's latest CD compilation, focuses on the artists who recently played at The Gathering festival in Trinidad & Tobago. Keeping true to the islands' cultural roots you'll find the musical genres jamoo (soca gospel), dancehall and zouk all well represented on this compilation. 'The Gathering' was produced by Isaac Blackman who is the youngest son of soca pioneer Garfield Blackman, and features tracks from Christafari and other members of the Blackman family, but the standout tracks for me are Yung Starr's "Who Is He?" and Jonathan Bachew's "You Are Love".
