The latest compilation offering from legendary Seattle record label Tooth & Nail represents all that is good in alternative Christian music. The follow up to the DVD 'The Nail Vol 1' carries on the tradition of showcasing the established bands and launching the bands to look out for in 2005. A feature of compilation albums is that they, often by definition, feature an eclectic mix of styles within the genre and 'The Nail Vol 2' is no exception but the flow of the CD does not suffer. Rock, emo, punk, hard rock and ska all blend together in an energetic salute to alternative Christian music. The production is excellent and the recognised artists such as Aaron Sprinkle and mewithoutyou add to the commercial strength of the album while providing two of the best songs "Really Something" and "Gentlemen" respectively. FM Static and Underoath also provide my personal favourites on the album, which overall is a flawless anthology of alternative Christian music.if you like that kind of thing. An album to be listened to regularly, at very high volume.
