In tiny lettering just below the bar code eagle-eyed browsers will find the message “contains previously released material.” What this album, or indeed any of the other of the six albums in this series, DOESN’T tell you is the precise origins of these recordings. Such woefully inadequate packaging hasn’t deterred the Cross Rhythms sleuths though, so we advise that this contains tracks from the Motor City Mass Choir albums ‘Shout In The House’ (1997) and ‘Word In The House’ (1998) and the Keith Staten albums ‘Glory In The House’ (1999) and ‘Worship In The House’ (1996). Mixing up live recordings from four different albums hardly helps the album’s continuity and though there are some fine vocalists, excellent songs and no little soul power, with packaging as potentially misleading as this, the rating must be low.
