This is the third instalment in the Survivor Songbook series featuring songs from the latest CD offerings by Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Phatfish, Tree63, et al. As with the previous Survivor Songbooks the songs are presented as lyrics accompanied by guitar chords. Each song has a chord chart which is helpful when trying to work out how to play chords such as Ab6 or Gm11, as well as capo instructions. The book comes with a CD-Rom which contains sheet music for the piano as well as acetate masters of the lyrics. This is helpful for anyone who plays an instrument other than guitar in a worship set-up although the sheet music is simplified and doesn't always follow the chord progressions that make up the melody. As a bonus there is also an excerpt from the Soul Survivor book Inside Worship by Matt Redman, looking at the importance of truth in worship. On the whole this is a good and helpful resource for anyone looking for fresh new worship songs.
