This 2-CD set is a compilation of some of the biggest CCM hits of the '90s. Many old favourites are here: for example Steven Curtis Chapman with "Dive", White Heart with "Desert Rose" and Twila Paris with "God Is In Control". A pleasant surprise is to find the UK's own Delirious? included with "Deeper", although fans of the band should note that this sounds to me like a US radio version - the CD liner says the track comes from the 'King Of Fools' album, but that's the toned-down US version of the album. The Newsboys, dc Talk, Avalon, Audio Adrenaline and The Imperials are among the bands featured while Margaret Becker, Susan Ashton, Nichole Nordeman, Rebecca St James and Wes King are among the solo artists. It's good to see Geoff Moore And The Distance included with "Home Run" from the album of the same name. It is interesting to note that of the 24 tracks here, six were produced by Brown Bannister, clearly a man who knew how to create a US Christian radio hit.
