A 3 CD compilation of 53 songs. The track listing immediately took me back to Spring Harvest in the 80s, with classic songs such as "Meekness And Majesty," "You Laid Aside Your Majesty," and "When I Feel The Touch Of Your Hand" alongside more recent material such as the Delirious? classic "Thank You For Saving Me". But alongside such items is a rather large sprinkling of considerably more forgettable songs. Performance wise, there are some good recordings here, and although no artists are credited in the packaging the likes of Chris Bowater and Graham Kendrick are instantly recognisable. However, there are far too many examples of pretty naff recordings that someone at Kingsway has dredged up from the archives, both in terms of recording quality (even in the context of the era in which they were recorded) and quality of singers/instrumentation. I have to admit that I fail to see the benefit in this sort of collection.
