Yet another box set from the folks at Kingsway, with 50 tracks on three CDs of the most recent worship songs (well, pretty recent - there are a couple of tracks from Noel Richards' mid-1990s oeuvre). There's stuff here from the likes of Nathan and Lou Fellingham ("Come Let Us Enter"), Simon Brading ("This Is Life"), Eoghan Heaslip ("The Way That You Father Me") and Ben Cantelon ("Remain"). Groups Bluetree ("God Of This City") and Onehundredhours ("Forever Over Us") also make an appearance and there are re-workings of some traditional hymns ("My God, How Wonderful You Are", "Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus" and "Rejoice The Lord Is King") with veteran Chris Eaton amongst the credits here. In many ways it's a fairly random compilation and therefore difficult to review. The trendy album title (it's got a number instead of a word!) is presumably to make it appeal to a younger generation, but they are the songs of a younger generation anyway. All you can say is that you can't fault the songs and it's a pretty representative sample of what's around today. If you want another compilation, go and buy it - but you can be sure there will be another one along pretty soon.
