Together For Jesus' is a series of praise meetings that gather local churches in a city to stand together for Jesus. This album simply gives you highlights of those gatherings featuring a solid band and the cream of British worship leaders. Thus Noel Richards rubs shoulders with Chris Bowater, David Hadden, Sue Rinaldi and Trish Morgan for a bit of a shindig! The weakness is that there is a lack of coherence since songs fade in and out and although individual songs are superb, the overall feel is a little patchy. Highlights? Well, I rather like David Hadden's "Better Is One Day", Chris Bowater's "Faithful God" and the beautiful "Just The Mention Of Your Name". As you can see it's fairly well populated with classic songs from the last 10 years. For something that moves away from the more traditional approach, Sue Rinaldi's song "I'm Lying Like A Child" is wracked full of emotion soulfully expressing the security of being close to God. Very touching.
