An experienced DJ for many years, winner of Mixmaster award in 1992 and runner up of DMC Championships, Yemi turned to mixing urban, gospel music in 2001. As well as rolling out mixtapes and producing, DJ Yemi runs Set Apart Records, on which this promotional offering of 30 tracks is released. Seamlessly blending the likes of Witness, S.O.E., The Company and GreenJade, amongst many others, this is a CD guaranteed to shake the speakers. A majority of the tunes are hot off the press, with a few rapidly-becoming-classics thrown in for good measure. One listen to The Way's "Living Truth" and "No Matter What" from The Company confirm that UK hip-hop/urban music is being fully represented by strong Christian talent. This mix is a positive picture of future street sounds.
