This compilation is subheaded '12 Radio Hits From Today's Top Artists' but really such a statement should be amended to read '12 US Christian Radio Hits . . .'. The problem, for me, is that often programme controllers on American Christian radio stations seem to invariably pick the dullest tracks on an album for radio exposure. Take for example the excellent new group For King And Country, Cross Rhythms radio chose four tracks from their debut album for radio play but not the one selected here. The duo's "Busted Heart (Hold On To Me)" is reasonable but not half as good as the tracks CR has been playing. Similarly, although "Starry Night" from Chris August's 'No Far Away' album was a big Christian radio hit Stateside, Cross Rhythms much preferred August's "Want To Be Real" and "It's Always Been You". Still, if you want a sampler of some of the current crop of CCM names this album offers you Francesca Battistelli, Big Daddy Weave, Group 1 Crew, Dara Maclean and several others.
