Reviewed by Paul Obrey Another collection from the people at WOW. Like most of the CCM collection factories, some of the material is great, but other releases seem to have been done to pass the time. This video didn't 'WOW' me. Maybe it would have been better labelled 'NONCHALANT'. Admittedly, there are some great performers. The likes of Helen Baylor and Fred Hammond never fail to impress with their huge vocal abilities, and the Mary, Mary hit, 'Shackles', has to be the most successful Christian witness on the secular UK scene for years. Here comes the but. Two of them in fact. The decent songs are sandwiched between live recordings that you get the impression that you have heard before, even though you know that you haven't. Padding, I think the official term is. Still, if you are particularly keen on Tonex, Norman Hutchins, Donnie McClurkin, The Canton Spirituals and several more you might want to search this out. Having said that, my review copy displayed similar characteristics to any ex-rental video dragged from a sale bin in Blockbusters. Visual quality was generally mediocre, and the soundtrack audio quality in parts was more offensive than disappointing, coming from such a big corporation.
