Reviewed by David Lynch I have never been a big fan of these compilations, even when I first purchased ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ (the first one). This has highlights and lowlights, but it is worth a play for the following four tracks alone: Deitrick Haddon’s “Anyhow”, sit still if you can! Debra Killings’ “Without Him”, whatever your ailment, this is your remedy! The Blind Boys Of Alabama’s “People Get Ready”, firstly, what a name, secondly, totally cool rendition of the late, great and sadly missed Curtis Mayfield's track. Finally, this is very serious, if you live in a flat and above the ground floor, do not play side two and track 16, the neighbours will evict you for dancing! The Rance Allen Group’s “Do Your Will” has so much funk that ole Bush and Blair will be seeking this out as a weapon of mass danceaction! Worth it for these four alone.
