There are 18 videos here, as opposed to 31 tracks on the companion audio CD. That said, this DVD seems to have been put together to capture a different vibe. Opening with full-on live performances by Marvin Sapp and Byron Cage both performing with choirs, the DVD has a more churchy feel to it. CeCe Winans, bedecked in all white and with dancers who won't be out of place in a hip-hop video, sounds fabulous on the funky "Hallelujah Praise'. Kirk Franklin, also bedecked in white with his choir, puts up an exciting performance. Israel & New Breed sound impressive in the concert footage performing "Again I Say Rejoice". Ricky Dillard & New G, whose band include a full brass section, take us to church with old fashioned styled gospeller "Let Us All Go Back". Debra Killings asks us to really listen to the words of "Jesus". She and her backing vocalists quietly deliver one of the best and most pointed gospel songs on here. Tonex & The Peculiar People's "Make Me Over" is another standout song and performance. Powerhouse vocalist Dorinda Clark-Cole's ornate blouse collar competes with her singing! Vickie Winans' fur-ish coat collar looks tame. Martha Munizzi breaks the colour bar with an uplifting, Latin-funk vibed "No Not One". If you can take the OTT fashion parade this DVD has some soul stirring music.
