On this latest vid compilation Toby Mac opens with a tight live performance of "Made To Love" which is all high energy and snappy camera work. That's followed by Sanctus Real's "Whatever You're Doing", a great song, if rather generic AOR, let down by a poor video with far too many close-ups of hands on guitar strings. Very dull, particularly when compared to the incredible, computer-game styled video for Red's "Already Over". But the vid for Future Of Forestry's "Open Wide" is leagues above the others. Directed by Peter Dawson, it boasts stunning, artistic stormy scenes and reflects the song perfectly. Stellar Kart's video for "Innocent" on the other hand has possibly the longest introduction since Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and is weaker for it. Opening the pop section is David Crowder Band. They have such a breadth of videos from which to choose, "Everything Glorious" seems a distinctly average choice. Tight and passionate as ever, the only reservation is that it lacks the electrifying authority of their usual performances. The country sound of Point Of Grace's "How You Live" and Meredith Andrews' uplifting ballad "You're Not Alone" stand out from an otherwise weak pop section. 'Wow Hits 2009' promises this year's top Christian music hits, but, of course, that means AMERICAN hits and only some of the vids are of a high standard.
