Looking for a hot intro into the holy hip-hop underground? Look no further. Sackcloth Fashion, one of the West Coast’s most innovative groups (remember their "Pulling A Fast One" turntable hit on Cross Rhythms radio?), run Syntax and here offer 17 cuts from their fast growing roster plus a not available elsewhere bonus cut, the insidious “Wages” from Sackcloth themselves. So what do you get here? There’s the rapid syllable and rather sinister “Fear Year” by Comunalien as well as other good joints from Man Of War, Adeem, Coleon, Luke Geraty, Future Shock and several more. As I said, if you’re looking to plunge into the deep waters of the hip-hop underground, here’s a great board from which to take the plunge. At the incredible bargain price of £2.99 this is an essential purchase!
