Alongside the 'Praise Him Revisited' series of box sets, Authentic are also taking the opportunity to blow the dust off their 'Worship Him' series of instrumental albums. So here we get 1999's 'Worship Him On The Organ' by David Poulter (a rather lacklustre set of mainly hymns recorded at Chester Cathedral), 1997's 'Worship Him On The Flute & Guitar' by Simeon & John (who, with Ben Castle, were by far the best known contributors to the series though their delicate, classically orientated music here is heard to better effect on other of their recordings), and 1997's 'Worship Him On The Panpipes' by Simon Bernard-Smith (the chap who back in the '90s enjoyed the public's new found taste for panpipe instrumentals with a series of albums of hymns and worship choruses and the occasional, usually excellent original). Overall, though, this set is a bit patchy, even for the undemanding requirements of spiritual "mood music."
