Taken from this year's Worship Together seminars in January, this set of songs really reflects the heart of the event. Artists, such as Bryn Haworth, Matt Redman, Noel Richards and Graham Kendrick, were brought together to record this live album in a small theatre in Eastbourne on the last evening of the conference. There are some really special songs and performances here, ranging from the tender worship of "Show Me The Way Of The Cross" by Matt Redman and "By Your Side" by Noel Richards, through to some really stunning praise songs; Bryn Haworth's "I'm Grateful" and "Lift Him High" by Dave Bilborough, leap uncontrollably to mind. A beautifully executed performance of "Thorns In The Straw" is delivered by Graham Kendrick and, Andy Pierce's "Psalm 139" is just sheer class; hats off to Charlie Groves for some wonderfully sensitive keys and backing vocals. Colin and Carol Owen deliver a very emotional rendition of their track, "You Are God, You Are Great". Recording quality is superb, and the production seems to have really captured the heart and soul of the performances which means that this album deserves to do well. Those who part with their blue and green crinklies will find that their CD player seems not to want to let go of what is a very nice album, full of beautiful songs, expertly played by some lovely hearted people.
