The Wow series is well established now and this Essentials Collection claims to be 12 all time favourites from all genres. ln fact it only really covers the last 10 years and is predominantly rock based and solely reflects the American market. Starting upbeat with Chris Tomlin's rendition of "Indescribable" the pace slows a bit with Casting Crown's "Who Am I" and "Cry Out To Jesus" by Third Day. The tempo picks up with Switchfoot "Dare You To Move" and "Word Of God Speak" by MercyMe. The wonderful "He Reigns" by the Newsboys is followed by the Natalie Grants powerful "Held" and Jeremy Camp's version of Tim Hughes "Here I Am To Worship". The album closes with Tree63's cover of Matt Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name" - the back and insert incorrectly state that it is Matt performing it. Plenty of great music, shame about the hyperbole of the packaging.
