It's easy for the long time Christian music fan to get all huffy about compilations like this one - compiling as it does 12 of the biggest ever Christian music hits and therefore containing many tracks such fans will already have. But as an introduction to CCM this is an absolute gem of Christian music cherry picking with the track listing alone convincing most. So here goes: Chris Tomlin's "How Great Is Our God", Casting Crowns' "Praise You In The Storm", Jars Of Clay's "Flood", Michael W Smith's "Above All", Nicole C Mullen's "Redeemer", Avalon's "Testify To Love" and five more. If you like American-style pop with inspiring lyrics this is an album which lives up to its "essential" billing, that is if you haven't got the source releases.
