The platinum selling WOW series now turns its attention to hymns ancient and modern on this new double CD. With an impressive line up of Nashville's finest performing the beloved oldies, it's an excellent way of the younger end of the Church familiarizing themselves with some classic worship anthems. So here you've got Steven Curtis Chapman singing "Holy Holy Holy", Chris Tomlin ("Take My Life And Let It Be"), David Crowder Band ("Doxology"), Rebecca St James ("It Is Well With My Soul"), Big Daddy Weave ("Trust And Obey"), Caedmon's Call ("Draw Me Nearer"), Jars Of Clay ("I Need Thee Every Hour") and many more. The five new recordings including Casting Crowns' slow and tender "Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus" and Point Of Grace's acappella "All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name" work pretty well too. A compilation with the potential to get some great hymns back into contemporary church circulation.
