Reviewed by Ben Martin Bringing us artists such as Toby Mac, Switchfoot and Skillet, this compilation album will have a tough time doing badly. Opening with "Ignition" by Toby Mac, the listener is instantly thrown into the sometimes crowded world of Christian rock music. However, this album promises to bring us only the best of the best and that is what it does. A journey through the year of 2009 is one of variation, and you will certainly not find the cream of the crop dull, provided by the good people at Tooth & Nail. Some compilations can gradually beat on the listener, but such is the disparity between the tracks, I was not bored and was certainly disappointed when the end of the album was reached. This was when I went to the DVD, this provided me with 18 more tracks complete with music videos, this certainly gave distinction between simply having two CDs and allowed me to enjoy some superb videos from again some of the best and most popular bands on the scene. Overall this is a superb compilation from such acts as Kutless, Hawk Nelson, Family Force 5, The Almost, Anberlin, Philmont, Capital Lights, Sanctus Real and many more. With a selection that ranges from Underoath to Superchick there is something here for almost everyone.
