Comment: 35 years ago in a prison chapel the prisoners were enjoying the final strains of a Christmas Carol during their Christmas Eve Service. The Service was highlighted by the presence of several outside volunteers who came into the prison often to minister to the prisoners. Some of the volunteers brought in members of their families to experience the service as well. When from out of the back came the cry of a baby. A baby in prison, many of those prisoners were startled and amazed that a baby was in their midst. The parents were there, as were the grandparents, as was the great-grandmother, Mom Carter. That child wasn't meant to play the role of Baby Jesus that night but for the men who were there, thats exactly how they viewed this 3 month old whose cry brought the message a little closer. Oh, the baby, Sara Groves.
