Comment: I am both disgusted and insulted by the review that this album was given. I am priviledged to still have an original copy of this ground breaking album and I enjoy listening to it now, just as much as I did when I first heard it 15 years ago. As anyone with an in depth knowledge of Gospel music knows, it is a characteristic of Gospel music that hooks or phrases are repeated several times. (think Hezekiah Walker)As for the music itself, at the time of this albums release back in the mid nineties, there was no other Gospel album that sounded like Nu Joi, it was (and still is) fresh and dared to use bass lines and beats that traditionalists may consider "worldly" or contraversial. The albums use of progressive beats was not at the expense of watering down the Word of God and tracks such as "God said wait" had a clear stance on holiness. The album is timeless and I love it! And may suggest that reviews of Gospel albums are written by reviewers who actually have a genuine love of Gospel music. In closing, I had the honour of meeting Nu Joi when they ministered in my home town back 1996, I was struck by their humility and commitment to God. I trully hope they reform and do another album. Shalom.
