Comment:
The Melody Four Quartet are not, nor were they ever a Southern Gospel Quartet. It would be easy to classify them that way as their sound was unique. With trained voices, their approach is more from a classical framework. I grew up knowing them to be a part of the traditional gospel music of the day. They really are without classification. The is Southern Gospel, Gospel (the music from our african-american brothers and sisters in the Lord), but no classification for groups such as the Melody Four, Hale & Wilder, Bill Pierce & Dick Anthony, Sixteen Singing Men, etc. And I hate that people always want your e-mail! Why do you need that for a simple comment?
