Article Title: Da Vinci Code Film Review
Author of reported comment: Simon Dillon
Comment Date: 10:04 on May 25 2006
Comment: Having read Laura's comment, I thought I'd better clarify myself. Obviously the novel and film are fictional, and marketed as fiction, but the book contains a page at the front listing "facts" that are almost entirely untrue (such as the existence of the Priory of Sion and so forth). It also makes authoritative references to "history" throughout that are also untrue (for instance, regarding the Council of Nicea which he claims was deeply divided on the divinity of Christ whereas they in fact voted 316 to 2 in favour).
